Dr. Sarah E. Forbes founded the Windmill Point Restaurant in March 1987. She has acquired the largest collection of memorabilia from the luxury liner, the S.S. United States. Much of her collection is used to provide a unique ambiance for the restaurant. Guests experience a feeling of being on one of the world’s most romantic ships where many world leaders have sailed. The great ship’s bell is on display in the entrance, and the ship’s famous kidney-shaped bar is a favorite of patrons in the S.S. United States lounge.
